Tired and weary of pimples, skin blemishes and dry skin?Why not try these superfoods known for its powerful nutritional components.

Below are  vegetables and fruits which, aside from being delicious and nutritious, contain high concentration of antioxidants,Folate,  vitamins A, C, E & B complex and dietary fibers, necessary for maintaining skin elasticity, suppleness and radiance.


ASPARAGUS
                Asparagus is one of the most highly nutritional vegetables we have around. Regular serving provides almost 60% of daily recommended allowance for vitamin C and Folate, the latter being recommended for women who are on the childbearing stage to avoid birth defects in the future. It is very low in calories and cholesterol which is good for proper functioning of the heart and veins.

BROCCOLI
                Like Asparagus, Broccoli contains an almost balanced nutritional properties, it has phytochemicals that help protect the body from chronic illnesses such as cancer and heart disease, it contains high amount of Vitamins A and C and potassium with dietary fiber and selenium. This vegetable, which is part of the cabbage family, has good amount of glucoraphanin which can be converted by the body into anti-cancer compound called sulforaphane. For men, it is being reported that consuming regular broccoli, can reduced the risk of life-threatening disease called prostate cancer. This is also a very good source of Calcium, niacin, vitamin B complex, riboflavin and magnesium.

CARROTS
                Very rich in beta-carotene, an organic compound which is a precursor of Vitamin A, known to aid the body cells renewal. Very rich in antioxidants, fibers, and minerals. Carrots fight chronic diseases that may cause cancer and the rapid process of aging. Try to integrate boiled carrots in your weekly menu.

AVOCADO 
This fruit contains fatty acids and oils necessary for skin moisturizing effects.  It has monounsaturated fats which are typically refer as good cholesterol, beneficial for cardiovascular system. Avocado is an excellent source of potassium too which has 60% content than that of banana. This is a good source of Vitamin B and Vitamin E, which both help maintain a smooth and young looking skin. It has natural glutathione. It has high concentration of fibers too, both soluble and insoluble, than any other fruits

TOMATO
                Botanically, tomato is categorized as fruit but scientifically, it is categorized as a vegetable. Tomato contains Lycopene, a very powerful antioxidant which can make the skin pinkish, smoother and lighter. When eaten with Broccoli, according to a study at the University of Chicago in Illinois (yahoo news), Tomato may help prevents cancer cells form growing.

PINEAPPLE
                This tropical acidic fruit contains phytochemicals, antioxidants that naturally occur in plants which help cleanse the internal organs, maintain good cholesterol and fight cardiovascular diseases that clogged the artery wall. Pineapple is a sweet fruit that successfully fight free radicals and help the skin glow and radiate even more.

HONEY
               Honey is ageless and never expires, this is one of the most commonly used beauty enhancers for many generations. It is often used as sweetener instead of sugar because of its natural nutritional components. One cup of green tea with honey everyday helps strengthened the immune system, fights infections and cleansed the internal organs naturally. It can be used as a facial scrub and toner or can be mixed with rolled oats, fresh milk and mashed banana to produce a natural body scrub for a glowing complexion.
